Thank You!

I just want to say a big thank you to each person who was led to help out orphans this Christmas season.  Thank you for helping and praying for Jin Wu.

I had no idea the Lord would use me to raise over 1700.00 for Jin Wu.  I got going a little late, but none of that matters with the Lord!  He is awesome that way!

Please keep Jin Wu in your prayers and I promise if I hear any news of a family adopting him, I will pass it forward.

There are still a few items in my etsy and all sales through the end of December go to His RR fund!

Thank you again!

when I sat down and mused on God's goodness and how it is incalculable, I didn't know.

What didn't I know?

I didn't know Shane and Oleg had a family claiming them for their own.

 I didn't know it would only be a short time before they got to go home.  I didn't know the prayers of my husband's heart contained a small plea that they would have a family by Christmas.

I didn't know that my plea, that they be kept out of the institution they were heading for, was already being fulfilled.

 The Patterson Family currently has 10 children, but soon they’ll have 12!  They adopted Chrissie, one of Reece’s Rainbow’s “other angels”, from Serbia in 2009.  On May 19, 2010, Chrissie went to live with Jesus following complications from open-heart surgery.  In the summer of 2011, the Pattersons hosted two Ukrainian boys in their home for 5 weeks, and they pursued adopting both boys after God confirmed for everyone that this was His will.  Well, God had a big twist in those plans, all intricately laid out by the Author of life, and while in Ukraine in December 2011 to adopt their host boys, God closed the door on adopting their host boys and opened it to adopt Oleg and Shane!  It’s a crazy story that could only be written by God.

My Papa is like that though.  Before the cry is entered in my heart, registered in my brain, become a plea on my lips, He has heard, He has decided, He has orchestrated.

And the idea that He is a good Papa becomes cemented even more completely in my mind, in my heart.  The reality of this truth hardens into a granite monument that is transformed into a living and breathing faith that knows His goodness, His faithfulness...right now, right here, in the land of the living.

I invite you to come read more about this beautiful work here:

Papa, thank you for your light breaking through and shining in this dark our dark, selfish hearts.

Thank You for coming here to this terrestrial ball to hallow and save little, finite beings that You love infinitely.

Thank You for saving Shane & Oleg.

My heart pounds with passion for You.

The perfection of God's work.

It is incalculable.

Main Entry:
incalculable [in-kal-kyuh-luh-buhl]  Show IPA
Part of Speech:adjective
Definition:countless, limitless
Synonyms:boundlesscapriciouschancy, enormous,

measureless, no end of, no end to, numberless,

unpredictableunreckonable, untold, vast,
whimsicalwithout number, zillion

He multiplies.  He did it here with loaves and fishes, on this terrestrial ball.  He does it with Himself, depositing the Holy Spirit within each of His children that cry out to Him for salvation.

He takes my small heart.  He kneads it, pounds it, causes it to rise.  Punches it down, kneads it some more, gives it a second rest to rise again.  He bakes it in the oven of His affection.

He pulls me from His warmth and He enables me to be a sweet aroma for His glory.

Where will this all lead?  I don't know.  But I trust the One who lives within me, to guide and provide for what and how He wills.

He's a good Papa that way.

I Am His and He is Mine

Thank you Father, for multiplying her $25 into $100.00.  You are great and wonderful at math!

"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine, He who pastures
 his flock among the lilies."

~Song of Solomon 6:3

I Am His and He Is Mine

1. Loved with everlasting love,
Led by grace that love to know;
Gracious Spirit from above,
Thou hast taught me it is so!
O, this full and perfect peace!
O, this transport all divine!
In a love which cannot cease,
I am His, and He is mine.
In a love which cannot cease,
I am His, and He is mine.

2. Heav'n above is softer blue,
Earth around is sweeter green!
Something lives in every hue
Christless eyes have never seen;
Birds with gladder songs o'erflow,
Flowers with deeper beauties shine,
Since I know, as I now know,
I am His, and He is mine.
Since I know, as I now know,
I am His, and He is mine.

3. Things that once were wild alarms
Cannot now disturb my rest;
Closed in everlasting arms,
Pillowed on the loving breast.
O, to lie forever here,
Doubt and care and self resign,
While He whispers in my ear,
I am His, and He is mine.
While He whispers in my ear,
I am His, and He is mine.

4. His forever, only His;
Who the Lord and me shall part?
Ah, with what a rest of bliss
Christ can fill the loving heart!
Heav'n and earth may fade and flee,
Firstborn light in gloom decline;
But while God and I shall be,
I am His, and He is mine.
But while God and I shall be,
I am His, and He is mine.

     These five pendants are sponsored by the Gandy's.  Kathy is a dear friend who I have had

the pleasure to meet.  She and her husband were the leaders of the BSU at my daughter's

college, and they are now "retired."

     Our friendship was orchestrated by God in such a precious way, that makes knowing her

twice as wonderful.

She blesses me.

So I asked her what should go on this pendant and she said the above quote,

"I am His and He is mine."  This hymn has been a favorite of hers from childhood.

It is beautiful. The 2nd verse being her particular favorite. Verse 4 speaks to my heart.

 "Who the Lord and me shall part?"  No one.  He holds.

This hymn does contain sweet and precious promises.  I pray our Papa will prompt

someone's heart to feel the same way towards Jin Wu.  And I am thankful he is His child.

The next five donations will receive this pendant.  Just e-mail me with a copy of your receipt and your snail mail address and I will

ship it directly!

Here is some additional commentary and the above passage...sigh...from

Young's Literal Translation

Gill's Exposition of the Entire BibleI am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine,.... Expressive of interest in Christ, and union to him, and of her faith therein; which still continued, notwithstanding her unbecoming behavior toward Christ, and her many infirmities, Sol 5:2. Aben Ezra connects the words with the preceding, "my beloved is gone", &c. but though he is, and I am left alone, I know I am his, and he is mine; which throws a beauty upon the words, and declares the excellency and strength of her faith; for herein lies the glory and excellency of faith, to believe in an unseen Christ: though it may be the Shechinah was with her, as the Targum has it; or Christ had now appeared to her, and was found by her, and therefore, like Thomas, says, "my Lord and my God";
he feedeth among the lilies; See Gill on Sol 2:16.

Keil and Delitzsch Biblical Commentary on the Old Testament3 I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine,
   Who feeds among the lilies,
Shulamith farther proceeds, followed by the daughters of Jerusalem, to seek her friend lost through her own fault. She always says, not אישׁי, but דּודי and רעי; for love, although a passion common to mind and body, is in this Song of Songs viewed as much as possible apart from its basis in the animal nature. Also, that the description hovers between that of the clothed and the unclothed, gives to it an ideality favourable to the mystical interpretation. Nakedness is ערוה. But at the cross nakedness appears transported from the sphere of sense to that of the supersensuous.

Geneva Study BibleI am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary3. In speaking of Jesus Christ to others, she regains her own assurance. Literally, "I am for my beloved . for me." Reverse order from So 2:16. She now, after the season of darkness, grounds her convictions on His love towards her, more than on hers towards Him (De 33:3). There, it was the young believer concluding that she was His, from the sensible assurance that He was hers.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary6:2,3 Christ's church is a garden, enclosed, and separated from the world; he takes care of it, delights in it, and visits it. Those who would find Christ, must attend him in his ordinances, the word, sacraments, and prayer. When Christ comes to his church, it is to entertain his friends. And to take believers to himself: he picks the lilies one by one; and at the great day he will send forth his angels to gather all his lilies, that he may be for ever admired in them. The death of a believer is not more than the owner of a garden plucking a favourite flower; and He will preserve it from withering, yea, cause it to flourish for ever, with increasing beauty. If our own hearts can witness for us that we are Christ's, question not his being ours, for the covenant never breaks on his side. It is the comfort of the church, that he feeds among the lilies, that he takes delight in his people.
